Reality Movie (Matteo Garrone) - Grand Prix at Festival de Cannes 2012 presented to Journalists in the Park Borghese, Roma, Italy

We were going to visit the Village Borghese in Rome in Italy, in the Park Borghese while I saw a man being interviewed by the Italian TV next to the cinema. Then I understood, with the quantity of photograph present, that they were presenting the movie to the press, and this was the press day for interviews and photos. So I was with all of the photographs and I enjoyed it a lot! The movie “Reality” won the award Grand Prix at Festival de Cannes in 2012 and was nominated for 8 other prizes. The director is one of the greatest currently in Italy: Matteo Garrone. The movie seems actually very interesting, talking about a guy who is willing to enter the italian “Big Brother” TV show and being to be solely focused on this goal! All the actors were present and were very friendly, posing for the photographs and journalists. There were Aniello Arena, Loredana Simioli, Nando Paone, Raffaele Ferrante. Italian TV was shooting continuously the scene, it was fun! Here are the photos! Enjoy!

Bollywood movie shot in Swiss Capital, Bern - Neninth with Ravi Teja and Seiya

Des scènes de Bollywood en plein centre de la capitale suisse, devant le Palais Fédéral à Berne

Un dimanche matin de Novembre, je vais à la bourse photo de Berne pour aller me trouver quelques filtres à placer sur mon grand angle. Hélàs, je n’y trouve pas grand chose d’intéressant, surtout des vieilleries et autres antiquités qui seraient mieux dans un musée que dans mes mains pour faire des photos! On sort de la bourse, et on se dirige vers la Place Fédérale pour manger une bonne fondue, car il fait assez froid.

Neninthe: Ravi Teja et Seiya, stars en Inde!

Et c’est là que nous voyons le tournage d’un film de Bollywood: “Neninthe!” Avec Ravi Teja et Seiya! Oui, OK, je les connaissais pas il y a encore 10 minutes avant de googler le nom du film (appercu sur le clapet du metter en scène et repéré sur une des photos!). Les acteurs sont bons, et ça se voit tout de suite. Derrière eux, des jeunes danceurs bernois pour les assister dans leur danse. Chapeau aux fille, qui se trémoussaient par 0°C et avec du vent glacial.

C’est en voyant la photo postée sur Shutter-Speed que je me suis rappellé que j’avais ça dans mes archives. J’ai du shooté en conditions très sombre, heuresement que j’avais sur moi mon 28-70 f/2.8 qui m’a permit de faire du portrait avec peu de luminosité et de l’action. Quant au film, il semblerait que ce soit un carton en Inde où il vient juste de sortir, et les jeunes là bas se sont déjà rués sur la musique du film. Le scénario semble être une satire du milieu cinématrographique tollywood, mais bon, je suis sur que les connaisseurs sauront apprécier. Pour les photos officielles du film.

Bollywood movie shoot in Swiss capital downtown, in front of the Parliament in Bern

A November sunday morning, I went to the Photographic second hand meeting held twice a year in Bern. I’ve sadly not found any of the things I wanted to purchase. It was actually a great place for photo museum to come and stock for their collection. We left the place, in direction of the Federal Plaza to have a great fondue, because it was freezing.

Neninthe: Ravi Teja and Seiya, movie stars in India!

And there, we arrived on a Bollywood movie shoot: “Neninthe!”. With Ravi Teja and Seiya! Yep… Ok, 10 minutes ago I had no clue who they were before googling the name of the movie (I’ve seen it on the clip clap of the man). You can notice that actors were great at first sight. Behind them, young Bern dancers were there to assist them. Special applause to the girls who were dancing at 0°C with freezing wind.

It was when I watched a picture posted on Shutter-Speed that I remember I had some in my archives. I had to shoot in shadow conditions, hopefully I had my 28-70 f/2.8 which allowed me to make some portraits in action. Movie seems to have some success in India where it has just been released, it’s beeing said that youth are massively buying the CD. Scenario is about the Bollywood environement, and I’m sure amateurs will appreciate it! For the official pictures of the film.
