Pas mal occupé en ce moment, alors je poste juste une photo de plus du barage d’Emosson! Un plan un peu plus spectaculaire qui donne sur la vallée.

Et voilà une autre photo du barrage, prise avec le Sigma 10-20 f/4-5.6, qui est un des meileurs grand angles disponibles sur le marché, pour un prix très compétitif. Une bonne partie des HDR que je fais le sont avec cet objectif, qui s’avère être un bon complément pour la créativité, grâce à sa focale de 10mm qui est simplement fabuleuse. Couplée au Sony A700 et son capteur CMOS, ça donne des résultats haute définition avec un très bon piqué ouvert à f/8 ou f/11!

Here is another photo of the dam, shot with the Sigma 10-20 f/4-5.6, one of the best wide angle availableon the market, for a very competitive price. Most of the HDR pics I’m showing here have been made with this lens, which is a great add-on for creativity, thanks to its 10mm possibility, just fantastic! Mounted on my Sony A700 with its great CMOS sensor, it tends to deliver very high and sharp resolution, especially open at f/8 or f/11.

J’avais posté il n’y a pas si longtemps certaines vue de la Forclaz, un col qui se trouve en Valais sur la route du barrage d’Emosson. Je poste maintenant une vue prise depuis le fameux barage d’Emosson. C’est l’hiver et il fait froid en ce moment, mais cette photo a pourtant été prise en Juin dernier! Donc je vous laisse imaginer le temps qu’il fait aujourd’hui là bas!

Pour la petite histoire, ce barrage a été construit entre 1967 et 1973, et est conjointement managé par la Suisse (où le lac et le barrage se situe) et la France (où la station de production d’électricité se trouve). Les 2 pays se répartissent 50% chacun du volume d’électricité. Sinon côté photo, le site est très joli et assez grandiose. Les vues sont belles et on peut faire de beaux effets entre le béton, la banquise et les montagnes! Plus de photos suivront!

I’ve posted not so long ago some views of the Forclaz in Valais, a pass which is on the road to the Emosson Dam. I’m now posting a view taken from the dam of Emosson. Currently it’s winter here in Switzerland, and it’s pretty cold. However this picture has been made last June! I let you imagine what is the current weather there!

This dam has been built between 1967 and 1973, and is co-managed by Switzerland (where the dam and the lake is) and France (where the electricity production site is). The 2 countries receive both 50% of the electricity produced. On the photographic side, the place is really beautiful and wide. You can make nice shots with contrasting cement, icebergs and mountains! More photo to come!

Ded Maroz Matryoshka Dolls - Les poupées russes, Studio

Aujourd’hui, il fait encore très froid alors c’est “Studio”! Il fallait bien que j’etrenne mon nouveau support de fond que j’ai acheté il y a quelques semaines. Je poste maintenant l’une des photos du photoshoot fait cet après-midi, un portrait de Matryoshkas… des poupées russes! Cadeau reçu il y a quelques jours de Moscou, peintes à la main, elles illustrent très bien la vague de froid du moment. En effet, ce sont Ded Maroz (Дед Мороз) et Snegyroshka (Снегурочка), personnages très populaires dans le monde russophone puisque c’est le Père Noel et sa petite fille. C’est toujours d’actualité!

L’éclairage est fourni par 2 Elinchromes D-Lite 2 softbox. Le reste de la série, fait avec modèle comme modèle suivront plus tard!

Today it was still very cold so I’ve decided to shoot “Studio”! I had to test my new background system support which I’ve purchased few weeks ago. I’m posting now a few photos of the photoshoot done this afternoon, a portrait of Matryoshka dolls! This is a present I’ve received from Moscow few days ago, they are hand made and painted, and are a perfect illustration of the cold wave we have at the moment. Actually, this is Ded Maroz (Дед Мороз) and Snegyroshka (Снегурочка), famous characters in the Russian world since this is Santa Claus et his grand daughter. That’s still currently spot on!

The lightning is furnished by 2x Elinchromes D-Lite 2 softboxes. Rest of the serie, with model will follow later on!
